The Chiaroscuro Quartet was formed in 2005 by four students from London's Royal College of Music, led by violinist Alina Ibragimova. Its repertoire focuses mainly on the classical period, with the emphasis on performance on period instruments and bows. The two works on this CD are masterpieces of the repertoire, rediscovered through the revolutionary interpretation of the Chiaroscuro Quartet.
